We rely primarily on private donations of individuals from across
the country. Thanks to the support of generous, concerned citizens,
Civic Council has been a strong voice in the nation's capital
for grassroots America on issues that impact people's lives.
Each individual program conducts its own fundraising campaigns.
Contributions are used to fulfill the goals of the separate
programs by supporting such projects as surveys, petition
drives, public relations campaigns, fact-finding missions,
publications, congressional briefings, conferences, college
forums, and web sites. You can find out how to give financial
assistance to a specific program by visiting its own web site.
Civic Council is incorporated under the U.S. Internal Revenue
Code as a 501(c)4 nonprofit organization. The Internal Revenue
Service has determined Civic Council meets the criteria of
that code to be exempt from federal income tax. Click here

However, please note that your gifts to any of our programs
are not considered tax deductible for federal income tax purposes
because the IRS says we provide a service in return for contributions
by advocating on behalf of our donors.
And rest assured that all donations are collected, cashiered
and managed by an independent third-party financial service,
which maintains the funds in an escrow account.
